The universe shifted on the afternoon of Sunday, May 25, when a young, unemployed man attacked two members of the all-female idol collective AKB48 and a male security staffer with a folding saw during a fan event in the city of Takizawa, Iwate Prefecture.Statement analysis
It was clear from the earliest reports that the victims of the attack were not seriously hurt, but later the man who was arrested reportedly told police he wanted to carry out a random killing, so the outcome could have been much worse.
The police conjectured that the attack was indiscriminate. Apparently, the man went to the event mainly because there would be many people there.
This is significant because it means AKB48 wasn’t the specific reason for the attack. The injured members were not victimized by a twisted fan, though the possibility can’t be completely ruled out until a thorough evaluation of the attacker’s motives is made.
If he had been enamored of the group, then the assault would have called into question the whole “AKB business model,” with its focus on bringing fans and idols into personal contact (the former can meet the latter if they buy a CD).
Without that model, AKB would not be the cultural and economic juggernaut it is.

共同体（きょうどうたい）とは

ゲマインシャフト（ドイツ語：Gemeinschaft）とは
ドイツの社会学者、フェルディナント・テンニースが提唱した、地縁、血縁、友情などにより自然発生した有機的な社会集団のこと。テンニースは、人間社会が近代化すると共に、地縁や血縁、友情で深く結びついた自然発生的なゲマインシャフト（Gemeinschaft、共同体組織）とは別に、利益や機能を第一に追求するゲゼルシャフト（Gesellschaft、機能体組織、利益社会）が人為的に形成されていくと考えた。
彼が提唱したこのゲゼルシャフト（機能体組織、利益社会）とゲマインシャフト（共同体組織）とは対概念であり、「原始的伝統的共同体社会」（共同体組織）を離れて、近代国家・会社・大都市のような「利害関係に基づき機能面を重視して人為的に作られた利益社会」（機能体組織）を、近代社会の特徴であるとする。ゲマインシャフトでは「人間関係」が最重要視されるが、ゲゼルシャフトでは「利益面や機能面」が最重要視される。
日本においては、労働集約型の農業を基礎に「協働型社会」とも呼べるものが形成されていたが、産業革命、工業化のプロセスに従って「企業共同体」へと変貌をとげ、「日本型社会主義」が誕生する事となった。しかし、バブル崩壊、経済のグローバル化、終身雇用制の崩壊、派遣労働者の採用の増加等に伴い、かつて企業そのものが「家族共同体」のようであると評された日本の企業風土も1990年代以降大きく変貌してしまった。
また、「運命共同体」は「所属する人が、繁栄するときも衰亡するときも運命をともにする組織や団体、また、その関係にあること」を指し、「堅い結びつきの例え」として使われる。他にも、学校のクラスは、「学ぶ」ということをテーマにし、それが「所属集団」から「準拠集団」へと成長しているなら「学びの共同体」と呼ぶことができる。
準拠集団 (reference group) とは、
人の価値観、信念、態度、行動などに強い影響を与える集団を意味する、社会学、社会心理学の用語。家族、地域、学校、職場など。構成員に対して、「かくあるべき」との規範を科すのが特徴。ただし、準拠集団となるのは、必ずしも「当人が所属する集団とは限らない」。「人の後天的欲求」は、「モデルとなる他者」によって形成される部分が大きい。
