リュウグウは、
アポロ群に分類される地球近傍小惑星の一つ。
宇宙航空研究開発機構 (JAXA) が実施する小惑星探査プロジェクトはやぶさ2の目標天体である。
龍宮（りゅうぐう）または 竜宮城（りゅうぐうじょう）とは、
中国や日本各所に伝わる海神にまつわる伝説に登場する海神の宮。各地の伝説・昔話に登場するが、湖沼や川、洞窟が龍宮への通路となっているものも存在しており、伝承地は必ずしも臨海部であるとは限らない。
伝説の共通点として、海神あるいは水にまつわる神などが、その場の主（ぬし）として存在しており、おもむいた者（例えば、龍樹や浦島太郎）へ礼品として宝物を与えるという点がある。
龍樹（りゅうじゅ）とは、
2世紀に生まれたインド仏教の僧である。サンスクリットのナーガールジュナの漢訳名。『中論』などの著作によって「空」の理論の大成を果たした。
龍樹 の 空の思想
龍樹は、存在という現象も含めて、「あらゆる現象」はそれぞれの因果関係の上に成り立っていることを論証している。この因果関係を釈迦は「縁起」（えんぎ）と説明した。
縁起は、仏教の根本的教理・基本的教説の1つであり、「全ての現象」は、原因や条件が「相互に関係しあって成立している」ものであって、独立自存のものではなく、「条件や原因がなくなれば、結果も自ずからなくなる」ということを指す。
仏教でいう「空」とは「無」のことではない。よく誤解している人を見かけるが、「空」とは、何もない、何も存在しない、という意味ではない。この世界は存在はしているのだが、常住不変な世界ではない、常に縁によって移り変わっていく世界である、というような意味である。
常住不変なもの（変化しないもの）は、この世の中に何も存在しない。すべてのものが変化し、移り変わっていく。それがこの世界である。「空」は「縁起」を強調したもの、あるいは、「縁起」の論理的帰結と言える。あらゆるものは「関係」の中で成り立つので、『「物質が存在する」というよりも、「関係が存在する」』という考え方の事。
浦島太郎（うらしまたろう）とは、
日本の御伽話（おとぎばなし）、およびその御伽話内の主人公名。

その息子で、浦島太郎という、男がいました。
太郎は漁師をして両親を養っていたのですが、
ある日、亀を釣り上げてしまい、
かわいそうに思って逃がしてやります。
「亀は万年。ここで殺してしまうのはかわいそうだ。恩を忘れるなよ」
数日後、ひとりの女性が舟で浜に現れ、
「漂着してしまったので、龍の都に連れ帰してください」
とお願いしてきました。
二人が舟で龍宮城に到着すると、
その女性は、太郎と夫婦になろうと言い出します。
龍宮城は、東西南北の扉を開いてみてみると、
「四季の草木と眺め」がみえるように作られていました。
ここで共に3年暮す頃、太郎は、
「残してきた両親が心配になり、帰りたい」
という意志を告げます。
女性はそれを承諾し、
自分が「あの時助けてもらった亀の化身だ」と明かしました。
そして、
「絶対に開けてはならない」と開けることを禁じたうえで
「かたみの筥（はこ）」を手渡します。
太郎は元の浜に着き、
出会った老人に両親の居場所を尋ねますが、
「700年も昔の人で、近くにある古い塚が彼らの墓だ」
と教えられます。
太郎は、誰もいない星空を眺めながら
龍宮城の3年の間に、
地上では700年もの年月が経っていたことを知るのでした。
涙に流されながら太郎が「かたみの筥」を開けると、
三筋の紫の雲が立ちのぼります。
太郎はたちまち老人へ、そして鶴へと姿を変え、
「蓬莱山」という、仙人が住むといわれている
理想郷へ飛び立ちました。
同じ頃、龍宮城の女性も亀へと姿を変え、
蓬莱山へと向かうのでした。
