EIN073_Divorce Rate in Japan 【Tambaboon IELTS Lab Sydney Australia】 英語 ニュース オーストラリア

I found noteworthy news on divorcerate.org.
divorcerate.org reported this story in 2013
According to Health Ministry statistics, divorces rate in Japan had more than doubled, from just over 95,000 in 1970 to 206,955 in 1996. According to divorce statistics of the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry, the number of couples who got married in 2010 in Japan were 708,000 out of which 253,353 couples registered for divorce. This implies one divorce case for every two minutes and four seconds. A survey report on population by the ministry indicates that the divorce rates in 2009 were 3.9 times more than the divorce rates reported 50 years back. In 2008, there were 250,000 divorce cases reported in Japan. In 2005, around 262,000 divorces took place which were 28,000 less than the divorce cases in 2002 and 16,500 more than the divorce cases in 1991.
