TYPE-3 Conditional
Here we use a past perfect
in the if-clause
and
would have + past participle
in the result clause.
- If she had studied science, she would have found a better job.
The Type 3 Conditional is used to talk
about past situations that did not happen.

- (You did not invite them and therefore they did not come.)

- If you had worked harder you would have passed the exam.
- (You did not work hard and therefore you did not pass.)

前回は
IFを使う際に、下記の３つの場合があることを、大きく説明しましたが、
IFを使う場合0：「いつも確実に起こる事」を話す場合
IFを使う場合1：実現可能性が五分五分の場合
IFを使う場合2：事実に反する仮定を語る場合
今回は
IFを使う場合3：『過去の事実』と反対の仮定を語る場合）＝「仮定法過去完了」
を見ていきます。

IFを使う場合3： 『過去の事実』と反対の仮定を語る場合）＝「仮定法過去完了」
「仮定法過去完了」は、
「仮に～であったならば…だっただろうナァ」
というように、
後悔の気持ち： 『過去の事実』とは、「逆」の仮定 を表します。

「仮に～であったならば」の「条件節の動詞」は、
過去完了（had + 過去分詞）、
- 動詞は「過去完形（had + 過去分詞）」を用いますが、
- 「表す内容」は、『過去のこと』であることに注意。
「…だっただろうナァ」の「帰結節の動詞」は、
「過去形助動詞(would、should、could、mightなど) ＋ have + 過去分詞」
を用います。
