There is no -s in the third person singular.
Would is followed by an infinitive without to.
- The doctor said he would visit the patient.
Questions and negatives are made without do.
- Would you like some coffee? (NOT Do you would like )

Would is a softer, less definite form of will.
It is used in polite requests and offers.
- I would like to meet him.

不確実・非現実のことを仮定するのではなく、
むしろ 丁重な願い や 控え目な意見を述べる 言い方で、
will を用いるよりも柔らかい感じになる。

- 恐れ入りますが、この本を貸していただきたいのですが
- I wish (that) he would tell me something about himself.
- 彼が自分自身のことを少し話してくれるといいんですが
